Domestic Icons

Each image is a fragment of the collective imagination — fashion, music, eroticism, power, television, rebellion, consumption — yet it is in their coexistence on the same wall that the deeper meaning of the work emerges. The reduced format cancels monumentality and transforms each subject into a module, a tile within a contemporary mosaic where everything coexists on the same plane, without moral or narrative hierarchies.

The figures, cut out and outlined with fluorescent lines that isolate them from the textured, vibrant painted background, become secular icons — pop holy cards of a visual religion shaped by desire and spectacle. The body is an exposed surface, power is image, rebellion is aesthetic, violence is mediated language, glamour is artificial construction. The artist does not invent new symbols but reactivates those already embedded in our visual memory, extracting them from the everyday flow and crystallizing them into an essential, direct, almost aggressive form.

Arranged together, these works function as a mirror-wall in which the viewer does not contemplate but recognizes, scanning with their gaze a constellation of impulses that define Western pop culture. There is no linear narrative, but rather an emotional map of the present — a compact atlas of contemporary desire in which each image is autonomous and, at the same time, part of a larger system: that of our everyday iconosphere.
